Role of Galway Culture Company
This project falls under our second and third strategic aims;
Support and Develop Place-based Cultural Programming
Provide Supports to the Cultural and Creative Sector
To celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg on June 10th, 2023, with support from the Creative Ireland programme, drums from the PULSE Gaillimh Drum Programme will be used as part of workshops with children and young people in Connemara.
The PULSE Gaillimh Drum Programme is a county-wide drum training programme offering all age groups of children, young people and adults access to a bank of percussion instruments within community and educational settings. The instruments were originally purchased during the European Capital of Culture term and are now managed by Music Generation in Galway.
For more information or to request use of the instruments, please email Eric Cunningham, Music Development Officer with Music Generation, at email@example.com.
