Project Description:

Branar, Ireland’s leading theatre company for children, has been commissioned by Galway Culture Company to create two new arts engagement offerings for schools in Galway city and county spanning music, theatre, and visual arts.

Rockin’ the Classroom is a music education programme in Irish and English for children in Junior & Senior Infants, 1st & 2nd Class.  This is a multiplatform education pack which includes videos, a CD and workbook, that brings the music from Branar’s show Rockin’ Rhymes into classes and will be posted to every school in the city and county.

In spring 2024 Branar will deliver a multifaceted creative arts programme in four Galway DEIS schools, across a range of artforms. The four participating schools will be selected through an open call to DEIS schools across the city and county. More information on the open call will be available at www.branar.ie/en/schools.
