Galway Culture Company is thrilled to announce that our project ‘Culture Meets Business’ in partnership with Galway Chamber has been shortlisted in the ‘Supporting Business’ category for the 2024 Chambers Ireland Awards.
The Chamber Awards is an annual celebration recognising the hard work and dedication of Chambers across the country in representing their members, engaging stakeholders and fostering vibrant and thriving local communities.
This year there has been 44 projects shortlisted across eight award categories, which showcase innovative communications campaigns, successful events, sustainable development initiatives, and creative collaborations between companies, local authorities and wider communities.
Speaking after the shortlist was announced (1 May 2024), Chambers Ireland’s President, Fiona Candon, said:
“The calibre of entries this year has been incredibly high and I’d like to commend each Chamber for demonstrating exceptional ambition, innovation and creativity.
Chambers across the country are strong, vocal advocates for the businesses and communities they represent, and they contribute significantly to the overall growth and economic prosperity of the regions they serve. The projects shortlisted demonstrate this focus on business advocacy, community spirit and willingness to collaborate.”
The Chamber Awards are proudly sponsored and supported by Zurich. Commenting on the Chamber Awards shortlist, Joe Creegan, Head of Corporate Life and Pensions Ireland from Zurich said:
“Zurich is proud to support the annual Chamber Awards once again. Congratulations to all the hardworking members of the Chamber network for their exceptional dedication and resilience shown over the past year. The Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the remarkable and innovative initiatives that have made a significant impact in our local communities, and we are delighted to support that effort across the country.”
